✨ Ocean Light & Babyboo Blush: My Viceroy Los Cabos Weekend

Architecture, ocean breezes, sunset sails and a wedding — a cinematic stay at Viceroy Los Cabos.
By Swetta Kathuria · October 2025
Viceroy Los Cabos — white architecture, reflective saltwater pools and ocean views at sunset

There are places that feel curated by the sea — spaces where architecture, light and water move together like a well-rehearsed chorus. Viceroy Los Cabos is one of those places. From the moment I arrived, the resort’s modern, floating-box architecture and layered pools created the kind of visual calm that makes you slow your breath and notice everything: the way morning light hits white walls, the warmth of the breeze, the soft clink of glasses at sunset.

🛎️ Arrival: A Dream, Framed

Check-in felt effortless and airy. The resort’s sculptural lines — think private terraces suspended above saltwater lagoons — give the whole place a gallery-like quality. I remember stepping onto my terrace with coffee in hand, watching the ocean off in the distance and feeling like I’d been given a secret vantage point to the sea.

🌊 Mornings & The Art of Doing Nothing

Mornings here are cinematic: pale blue pools, palm shadows, and the occasional local fishing boat cutting the horizon. I spent a few slow hours poolside, toes in warm water and a light breeze on my skin. It’s the kind of place where time feels flexible — you can choose to do everything or simply be.

💆‍♀️ Spa & Rituals

I carved out an afternoon for spa rituals — long, meditative treatments that used local botanicals and ocean-scented steam. Post-massage, I wandered the grounds with that soft, post-spa glow, the kind of glow that turns every mirror selfie into a moment worth saving.

🍽️ Oceanfront Evenings & Sunset Sails

Evenings at Viceroy are a study in beautiful restraint. Dinners felt intimate: wood-fired seafood, citrus-forward ceviches, and a sunset sail that turned the Pacific to molten gold. I remember one evening lingering over a light, citrusy cocktail and thinking this was the kind of place you return to, over and over, for the easy, timeless moments.

👗 Style Notes: Babyboo Blush & Beachside Glam

My outfits matched the mood: a Babyboo blush dress that moved like the surf, a Bottega Veneta clutch, YSL sandals and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels. Soft, feminine, and a little irreverent — the perfect combo for a seaside wedding and sunset cocktails. (Also, a shoutout to the Al Capone that burned smoother than the sunset for one very cinematic night.)

🤍 A Wedding to Remember

I was honored to attend the beautiful wedding of @hollysias & @mr.aidencole — a joyful, oceanfront celebration filled with warm speeches, delicate florals and moments that felt both intimate and effortlessly elegant. It was one of those evenings you tuck into your heart and carry home.

Thank you to my lovely hosts and friends — your hospitality made the stay feel like a treasured invitation rather than a trip. 📍 P. Malecon San Jose Lote 8, Zona Hotelera, 23405 San José del Cabo, B.C.S., Mexico.
